Every summer from the beginning of June through the end of August, 150 teams of 11 and 12 year olds make the trek to Cooperstown, NY for a week long, baseball tournament. During this special event, teams have the opportunity to meet and compete with kids from across the United States and North America.
In 2018, the Jackson Northwest based Black Sox will be one of these teams - but we need your help!
Each player and coach costs around $1,000 for the week at camp, plus travel expenses. Our goal is to raise enough money to make this a trip that players and their families can take and enjoy while making lifelong memories together. One of the biggest aspects of being on the "Black Sox" is that everyone is family. Our team isn't thrown together to win tournaments; we're a group of families that live in the same community and attend the same schools, churches, and sometimes jobs.
We've started a GoFundMe account for donations and will be putting together a number of fundraisers throughout 2017. Every dollar gets us closer to our $30,000 goal to make this trip happen.

Your money goes toward travel expenses and tournament-related costs. As part of the tournament, each Black Sox player will also receive or enjoy the following:
Your donation makes it possible for the Black Sox to attend one of the two tournament venues in New York (Cooperstown Dream Park or Cooperstown All-Star Village) where they will play on manicured fields, hear their names announced over the PA system, and experience what it's like to be a professional player.
